The raw material of Bemberg™ is cotton linter* that is a pre-consumer material obtained from manufacturing process of cottonseed oil.

Bemberg™ is a regenerated cellulose fiber that is produced from purified cellulose from cotton linter.
Bemberg™ is available in both filament and staple form. In filament the denier range is 30 ~ 150 Denier
Bemberg™ is not a synthetic material. It is regenerated cellulose fiber made from the purified cellulose of cotton linter, a natural material.

Bemberg™ is a brand of cupro, produced by Asahi Kasei. Asahi Kasei is only the manufacturer to produce cupro in the world. Bemberg™ is brand name of the cupro fiber. Hence Bemberg™ and cupro are the same material.

Fabrics
Any fabric that is woven or knitted using Bemberg™ yarn is called Bemberg™ fabric in laymans terms.
In India various kinds of Bemberg™ fabrics are made to suit different applications. The major application is Traditional Indian ethnic wear and for this different kind of light weight yet luxurious fabrics like chiffon, georgette, satin in 100% and blends are made. Yes, Bemberg™ can be blended with other fiber during yarn spinning in case of Staple fiber and weaving in case of filament as well as staple fiber. However, care needs to be taken while processing the material in the post processes considering the fibers in the material.
Garments
Bemberg™ has been a material of choice for premium women's traditional wear like Sarees, Dupatta, Salwar Kameez, odhani etc. Bemberg™ fabric are also being used for the western and fusion wear in India and abroad for its superior comfort, noble sheen and sustainability.
Normally, on the care label, the generic name of the material is mentioned. So in this case, cupro needs to be mentioned. However, the rules differ from region to region and hence please follow the guidelines of the region of sale.
Wash care depends on various factors like fabric type, dyeing and printing fastness, embellishment and value addition techniques. From fiber point of view, it is recommended to give dry clean or gentle hand wash with mild detergent. This is just for reference, and for more accurate advice, please discuss with the technical team.
